Join the American quest for freedom!  Learn about Spain´s support of the American Revolution through levels, missions, and quizzes. Are you up for the task?  Quizstory: Spanish Friendship is an educational mobile application whose main objective is to tell the little-known history of Hispanic contributions to the American Revolutionary War. Through different levels, missions, and quizzes, players will tour the cities central to Spain’s support, answering questions about each hidden historical episode, and, finally, unveiling the fundamental role that Spain and thousands of Hispanic soldiers played in the independence and establishment of the United States of America.  Quizstory: Spanish Friendship invites students and learners of all ages to travel back in time 1775 shortly before the signing of Declaration of Independence. In the Thirteen Colonies, players will begin a twelve year adventure, in which they will be essential to helping George Washington and his rebel army. To level up, students will have to complete almost 100 quizzes and games about the American Revolutionary War.  During their journey, players will visit places across the Americas where important events of the American Revolution took place that have been largely lost to history. To unlock chests of supplies and support the rebel army, players must correctly answer quizzes related to each place along the map. Players can only win by demonstrating true heroism and completing all eight levels.  Help George Washington and his troops achieve independence!   Without supplies there will be no victory for the Continental Army, and the fight will have been in vain. That’s why the soldiers need your help in order to obtain:  - Medicines - Textiles - Weapons and ammunition - Money American Revolution Resources for History Teachers  The game has been designed with the utmost rigor by history school teachers in collaboration with historians to offer quality content adapted to the educational needs of students. This app is designed to complement American History curricula for elementary and middle school students.    Content included in the game:   ▶ Declaration of Independence: the Founding Fathers and how Spain became involved in the American Revolution ▶ The Mississippi River and New Orleans as a key port: the Louisiana territory and the importance of control of the Mississippi River during the war ▶ Battle of St. Louis: a battle where the Spanish defended themselves from British troops at Fort San Carlos ▶ Siege of Pensacola: Spanish General and Governor of Louisiana, Bernardo de Gálvez and the Siege of Pensacola ▶ Havana: Many soldiers joined the cause for independence from Cádiz, Spain  ▶ Mexico: Spanish silver is collected across the Americas to support the Continental Army  ▶ Battle of Yorktown: a decisive battle funded by the Spanish and the British surrender ▶ Signing of the United States Constitution: the supreme law of the United States of America    Quizstory: Unveiling the US-Spanish Friendship  Quizstory: Spanish Friendship was designed specifically to explore the shared past of Spain and the United States in order to foster greater recognition of the Spanish - and by extension Hispanic - legacy in the USA.   Quizstory: Spanish Friendship is an app created by the Queen Sofía Spanish Institute in collaboration with Iberdrola to provide a better understanding of how Spain and thousands of Hispanic people played a significant role in ensuring the founding of the United States of America as an independent nation.
